The Circle of Flame
The Circle of Flame is a faction of Doskvol based in Six Towers. They are a refined secret society of antiquarians and scholars. This is, of course, a cover for extortion, graft, vice, and murder. The Favored social spot of Circle of Flame members is The Centralia Club.
The Circle of Flame is currently at war with The Hive — a war which was secretly instigated by Demon Squad in an effort to destabilize The Hive and take over their monopolistic distribution deal for Fantasy Hennessy in Doskvol.
The war between the Circle of Flame and the Hive was manipulated into being by a series of false-flag operations. Demon Squad began by spreading rumors among Hive members that the Circle of flame was due to attack. Then, Demon Squad attacked Lord Snyder and left behind evidence which implicated The Hive. We then raided a Hive shipment of 40 bottles of Fantasy Hennessy, this time implicating The Circle of Flame.
Following the spiritual lobotomy of Lord Snyder, open war broke out between The Circle of Flame and The Hive. The Circle of Flame called upon two spirits to assassinate two high-ranking Hive members, which led to a battle in Silkshore between the two factions, ending in a Circle of Flame loss.
In order to further stoke the flames of war between The Circle of Flame, Demon Squad conspired to stage a failed assassination of the Harranguer of the Church during their sermon. Patch tinkered an automaton "chickenbottle" called "Freud's Blowjob" (in reference to Demon Squad's name at the time, Pavlov's Blumpkin), equipped with a prepared molotov cocktail and poison stinger. The Butler found a suitable ghost for the automaton at an environmental awareness meeting, who demanded a fine cape for the machine, which we then fashioned out of Clyde's fur. The automaton, being designed to fail just before killing its target, was deployed during the Harranguer's sermon, thus further implicating The Hive.
