The Hive
The Hive is a faction in Doskvol. They are a guild of merchants with a thin veneer of legitimacy. They are named for their guild's symbol, a golden bee. The Hive once controlled the distribution of Fantasy Hennessy in Doskvol, but that contract has since been taken over by Demon Squad. The Hive is antagonistic toward The Circle of Flame, with whom they are currently at war, and The Unseen, who had carried out an assassination of two prominent Hive members prior to that war.
Demon Squad instigated the war between The Hive and The Circle of Flame with a series of false-flag operations, attacking one faction and leaving behind evidence that would incriminate the other. The purpose behind this was to decrease the perceived stability of The Hive, allowing us to swoop in and take over their contract with the Iruvian Consulate for Fantasy Hennessy distribution within Doskvol.
Demon Squad's first malicious act against The Hive was to steal the sacred scrolls of the Circle of Flame from the Centralia Club and plant them on Hive property. While there, we murdered a Circle of Flame member and staged their body to appear as though they were killed by The Hive. We then anonymously warned The Hive that The Circle of Flame would be coming for them, ensuring that each faction would bloody the nose of the other.
We then performed a spiritual lobotomy on Lord Snyder, a prominent Circle of Flame member, again framing The Hive. This provoked The Circle of Flame into summoning two powerful spirits and with them assassinating two high-ranking Hive members. This precipitated a battle between the two factions in the streets of Silkshore, which the Circle of Flame lost.
Taking advantage of this distraction, Demon Squad was able to raid a Hive shipment of Fantasy Hennessy, absconding with 40 bottles.
Following these events, Demon Squad met with the Iruvian diplomat Gottvingert Freiddie to secure The Hive's Fantasy Hennessy distribution contract for ourselves, promising greater stability than The Hive can offer.
