The Lampblacks
The Lampblacks are one of the gangs of Crow's Foot. They were once the Lamp-lighter's guild, but turned to crime when the lamps of Doskvol were electrified, rendering their profession obsolete. Doskvol's electrified lamp network is now maintained by The Sparkwrights. Relations between the two factions remain hostile to this day.
The Lampblacks are led by Bazso Baz, and there is a good working relationship between Demon Squad and The Lampblacks.
Demon Squad aided The Lampblacks in their war against The Red Sashes, resulting in a Lampblack victory. Bazso Baz contracted Demon Squad to kidnap Karo Anchiat, The Red Sashes' former scrote manufacturer, thereby cutting off the Red Sashes' access to drugs to sell.
After this, Demon Squad cut a deal with Bazso. We set Karo up with a scrote lab on the houseboat, handing the drugs he manufactures off to The Lampblacks to distribute, and splitting the profits down the middle.
A week before the defeat of the Red Sashes, Bazso called upon Demon Squad to help The Lampblacks with a trade deal. A mysterious figure, later determined to be Cornelius Drinkofwater, offered the Lampblacks a certain item in exchange for help with altering a ritual being performed by The Cult of the Golden Slug. Demon Squad received payment for carrying out this mission on behalf of The Lampblacks. Upon earning a greater degree of trust from Bazso, he gave us the name of his tailor. Whatever Cornelius offered The Lampblacks was sufficient for them to win the war against The Red Sashes.
The scrote deal between The Lampblacks and Demon Squad was finalized shortly thereafter. Karo agreed to work for Demon Squad in exchange for 10% of the profits from the enterprise. Demon Squad and the Lampblacks agreed to 45% each, for manufacturing and distribution respectively. While Demon Squad does have its own distribution network consisting of a few runners like Dan Feinberger, the majority of scrote distribution in Crow's Foot is handled by The Lampblacks.
